Park Terrace residents took a day on Thursday, August 24th to go to the Arboretum in Minneapolis. They had a very pleasant weather day for their trip. Boxed lunches were brought from Park Terrace to enjoy in the outdoors. The colors and the beauty of the Arboretum were wonderful, a great time to take in the beauty of the Summer colors that God has given us. I know when the residents returned they had good comments about their day.
On August 23rd the whole campus here had a State Fair event. It was so nice to see so many of the residents outside to enjoy the weather and all the events of our State Fair which included petting zoo, dunk tank, all kinds of fun games with prizes, tractors in the parking lot and booths selling some fun items. A small portion of the real State Fair was brought to us. Terry Nelson was also singing outside for the residents which added to the fun day. Thanks so much for all who planned this great event for us.
Next month the leaves will start turning and it is hard to believe that summer is coming to a close. We look forward to Fall activities and celebrating National Assisted Living Week September 11th through 15th.
