To start off the month of May we celebrated with Lois Erger, one of our residents with her 90th birthday celebration.
She and her family provided cupcakes for all the employees and also the residents. What a special celebration and boy were they tasty! Lois’s family also held a birthday party on the weekend following her birthday in our Ministry Center. She had family come from all around to celebrate her special birthday. Thank you Lois for inviting us in your celebration.
A Mother’s Day brunch was held on Wednesday, May 10th for all the women residents. The ladies had fun dressing up in hats and scarves and took turns showing the other ladies their outfits. The day prior they made decorative pins for themselves using fabric that was gathered, lace and buttons. How cute they turned out. Our ladies were served two different egg dishes, salad, their choice of chocolate mousse, cherry cheesecake or vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting and white chocolate decorations and of course coffee and juice. Moms are special and that is how we tried to make them feel.
The residents in the Meadows were able to get outside for a little fresh air and play balloon toss. It is important for all of us to get outside. The sun was shining that day and everyone had fun soaking up the warmth of a Spring day.
On Friday, May 26th, Pastor Harry held a Veteran’s Social honoring our resident veterans. We have ten residents that have served in the military in varying aspects of service. They have many a story to tell of their days in service. Thank you to our veterans for all you have done for us and for our country to keep us safe. We so appreciate you putting your life on the line for ours!View Our Photo Album
