Quilting

Two Wednesdays a month, our residents spend time sewing and crafting.  Ruth Jans, a volunteer, comes in to help the residents in their sewing/quilting needs.  They get busy putting quilts, table runners and other things together.  They enjoy their time together and the finished products they can produce.  We thank Ruth Jans for coming to lend her expertise on Wednesdays.  This is always a great gathering time for all!

In Loving Memory

We honor Lois Erger’s memory this month.  Lois died in 2017.  She was a resident here at Park Terrace.  She loved to decorate.  Lois’s family donated all of her Christmas decorations to Park Terrace.  We used many of them this last Christmas season.  Lois was a lovely, giving person who touched the hearts of all of the people here at Park Terrace.  We are now using one of her white Christmas trees to decorate and make the month of February shine.  We want to thank Lois’s family for the generous donation to Park Terrace that warm our thoughts of Lois.

Terrariums

On Tuesday, January 23, the residents made terrariums for their rooms.  It was so fun to see the uniqueness of the terrariums that were made.  It will give us something fun to watch grow during the cold winter months here in January.

Valentines Day

In February, we look forward to our Valentine’s Day Social.  Susan Oie has planned special games and prizes with special  music in keeping with the months theme of “Love”.   She always has a delicious dessert for the residents.  Love is in the air!!!!  We look forward to getting out to lunch and some shopping also.

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who make our community special!
