Autumn is such a fun time to see all the colors.  We here at Park Terrace saw the colors outside and added color inside with some of the decorating that we did.  We took a fall leaf color trip to Carlson’s Apple Orchard on Tuesday the 11th of October.  I remember some of the ahhhh moments in the bus when seeing the vibrant colors of the trees.  What great memories, we are so blessed!!  We will have to wait until next year to see them again.  Carlson’s apple orchard is such a great place to go and have lunch.  They make their bread fresh every day.  Soup, sandwich or salad.  I can’t think of anything we didn’t enjoy.  Of course, the apple or pumpkin pie with ice cream for 99 cents is a great deal and so yummy!!!

On Friday, October 14th Elim held their Gala for the Park View campus.  Some of the residents were able to join us this year at the Medina Country Club.  So much fun to come together.  It isn’t too often that we get dressed up like that.  Susan, our activity director took the Elim bus for our residents and volunteers.  Our dinners were excellent and monies were raised to help pay for several different items that are in need for the campus.  Thank you, Susan for all you do for us.

The residents decorated three different times during the month of October.  They decorated wooden pumpkins the first time, then made their own fall floral arrangements and ended up with the decorating of real pumpkins.  We have some very talented residents who make some beautiful crafts.  We have to thank all the volunteers that come in with their expertise also.  Fall is a joyous time.

In the month of November we are looking forward to our Thanksgiving Tea to be held in the Ministry Center with Mary Miller performing for us on the piano.

We have so much to be thankful for,  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
